Spanish Gentleman loses Australian Open After giving up a major point.

I just returned from what was arguably one of one of the best tennis matches in history with number one Djokovic against number two Nadal at the Australian Open in Melbourne Australia .

Since former number 1 Nadal has a history of losing to Djokovic all of us in attendance were amazed and impressed when 5 hours an 50 minutes later in the marathon match they were tied 5- 5 in the final set after winning two sets each. Finally Djokovic won.

What's amazing about this match is that the Nadal actually probably would've won if he had not been one of the most gracious gentleman players of all time .

After winning the first set he was close to winning the second set when the linesman called one of his opponents shots out.

Nadal could have keep quiet and went on to win the second set but he used one of his valuable challenges to challenge the ref's call on behalf of Djokovic. After the Hawkeye camera determined Nadal was correct the point was taken from him and given to his opponent and friend.

I have watched grand Slams for decades and never seen this act of all out chivalry before .

Maybe it's a karma from his good deed which allowed battle on to go all the way to a 5- 5 tie in the final match.

At any rate as all of us said who were watching it live “it could've been anybody's game” and only a few minor mistakes separated the number one from number two.

Congratulations to both players and thank you very much for providing on of th bets sports events of my entire life.
